In this 2 to 2.5 hour self-paced course comprised of two sessions, you will gain an overview of climate change, its causes and impacts, and understand the strong interlinkages of climate change and agribusiness.
This course is the last of three courses on the topic of climate smart agribusiness. This course is in 2 sessions that focuses on how to implement climate-smart practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve resource efficiency, and promote sustainable agribusiness operations. It helps discover the role of women and youth in climate-smart agribusiness, explore inclusive business opportunities, and understand how mitigation strategies can create economic and social benefits.Who is this course for?
This course is intended for owners and staff of agribusinesses, extension officers, teachers, (master) trainers, ministry staff but of course you can also study it if you have a general interest in the topic.
What will you learn?
By the end of the course, you will be able to understand the importance of mitigation in agribusiness, strategies for reducing and removing greenhouse gases (GHGs), climate-smart mitigation strategies and practices, and inclusive approaches that create economic and social opportunities in climate-smart agribusinessTopics overview: GHG emissions in agribusiness, Sustainable land management, Challenges and opportunities for women and youth, Inclusive approaches to mitigation, Green financing and investment options, Innovation and entrepreneurship in climate-smart agribusiness.
How much time do you need to invest? Each session will take about 60 minutes to complete. Therefore, you will need about 2 to 2.5 hours in total to complete the full course.
Course Certificate: After successfully completing each session and passing the final quiz, you will receive a PDF certificate for each session completed, as well as an overall certificate upon completing the full course
