This course is the first out of three courses on the topic of climate smart agribusiness. The first course is in 2 sessions that focuses on understanding the concept of climate change and the impact of climate change on agriculture, food security, and agribusiness You will learn why taking climate action is critical for agribusiness and explore the three main strategies for creating climate-smart and resilient agricultural practices.
Who is this course for?
This course is intended for owners and staff of agribusinesses, extension officers, teachers, (master) trainers, ministry staff but of course you can also study it if you have a general interest in the topic.
What will you learn?
By the end of the course, you will be able to understand the climate system, the causes of climate change, and its current and potential future impacts on agribusiness and the agricultural ecosystem as a whole.Topics overview: Climate Change, Climate Smart Agribusiness, Climate Resilience, Agriculture, Agroforestry, Entrepreneurship
How much time do you need to invest? Each session will take about 90 minutes to complete. Therefore, you will need about 3 to 3.5 hours in total to complete the full course.
Course Certificate: After you successfully complete each session and pass a final quiz, you will receive a PDF course certificate on each session completed and an overall certificate after completing the full course.
