About this course

In this course, you will move deeper into the world of online facilitation. You will be provided with more detailed and practical information that you will begin to put into practice. This includes selecting and using synchronous and asynchronous online facilitation tools depending on the context, target group, and course content. You will also design, plan and facilitate synchronous and asynchronous communication.

This course is for online facilitators, online moderators, learning designers, and anyone interested in online facilitation and moderation.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Distinguish between synchronous and asynchronous online facilitation
  • Identify various roles, functions and tasks of online facilitators
  • Distinguish between the various tools of online communication
  • Troubleshoot common situations and to give constructive feedback
  • Explain the typical workflows associated with online facilitation
