About this course

In this course you will be introduced to basic concepts and tools, which help you to take gender into account when designing and implementing e-learning solutions. You will learn that adopting a gender-transformative approach to e-learning design is critical to breaking down structural barriers to gender equality.

This course is for course managers, learning designers, content and media developers, subject matter experts, online facilitators and anyone interested in gender and digital learning.

What will you learn? 
By the end of the course you will be able to: 

  • Understand the concept of gender and gender inequality
  • Distinguish between gender-sensitive, gender-responsive, and gender-transformative approaches to education and learning design
  • Plan digital learning content based on gender transformative principles
  • Organize and facilitate digital learning based on gender-transformative principles
