This self paced online course is the fifth in a series of six courses. This course will provide an overview of key issues related to AI's impact and implications on human rights, as well as the legal challenges associated when safeguarding them.
Who is this course for? This course is aimed at judicial operators (including judges, prosecutors, public lawyers), policymakers, academics, social workers and civil society representatives
What will you learn? By the end of this course, you will have an understanding of AI's impact on human rights including the rights to freedom of opinion and expression, the right to equality and the right to privacy
Topics overview: AI and human rights. What does AI mean for equality? Surveillance, facial recognition and filter bubbles
How much time you need to invest: This course will take approximately 45 - 60 minutes to complete
Prerequisites: None, but a good understanding of judicial processes and the rule of law is advantageous
Course certificate: A course certificate will be generated on the successful completion of the final quiz
