About this course

This “Basic Computer Applications” self-paced course is intended to introduce the learner to basic software skills. These skills will include an introduction to using a word processor, how to use a spreadsheet and how to create a presentation.

Who is this course for?  This course is aimed at learners who have not yet had exposure to basic digital training and who require the development of digital skills in the areas of word processing and using both spreadsheet and presentation applications

What will you learn? By the end of this course you will be able to create and edit a word document, spreadsheet and presentation

Topics overview: Using different software applications viz. OpenOffice Writer, Google Sheets and Microsoft PowerPoint, the learner will become familiar with inserting images, videos, tables, text and graphs into the relevant applications

How much time you need to invest: This self-paced course will take approximately four (4) hours to complete

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this entry level course

Course certificate: A course certificate will be generated on the successful completion of the final quiz
