This is a self-paced course where you will learn about disability inclusive development in Africa through the use of existing disability rights mechanisms and frameworks on the continent. The first module introduces the human rights mechanisms in the continent. The second module then focuses on how to achieve disability inclusive development through meaningful engagement among partners from the global South and those from the global North in development cooperation.

The course is relevant to anyone who wants to learn more about the current normative frameworks and disability policies driving disability inclusive development in Africa and how local and international partners can collaborate in promoting disability rights and inclusive development.
What will you learn?
· An overview of current legal and policy frameworks on disability rights in Africa
· Disability inclusion and the important roles of disability stakeholders to ensure inclusive development cooperation
· Resource Mobilisation, and possible ways for Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) to acquire support of international organizations
· North-South Civil Society Partnerships, the challenges and rationale thereof, contributions of civil society organisations in the global South, and making partnerships equitable
