This training will give you the tools and knowledge to deepen your theoretical knowledge and expand practical skills in Contribution Analysis and Efficiency Analysis.

Who is this course for
?
This training is designed for evaluators, evaluation managers and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) officers to deepen their knowledge in contribution and efficiency analysis.

What will you learn? 

In this self-paced training, you will,

    • learn how to apply the six steps of the Contribution Analysis in an evaluation,
    • learn how to perform an Efficiency Analysis in an evaluation according to the follow-the-money approach, based on the efficiency tool, and
    • learn how to present the results of the evaluation in a competent and user-oriented way.

Topic Overview: evaluation, results hypothesis, results model, follow-the-money tool, allocation of costs, human resources, cofinancing, monitoring, partner contributions, budgeted costs

How much time do you need to invest?
Depending on how deep you want to dig into each module/topic, the duration and workload can vary. You can choose between three levels:

  • Essential information: You can take the fast track through the submodule by skipping the ‘dive deeper’ part. Study time per topic: approx. 30 min.
  • Dive deeper: You can go through the submodule and deepen your knowledge in different chapters. Study time per topic: approx. 90 min.
  • Further information and activities: Additionally, you can complete the tasks and further reading for the submodule.  Study time per topic: approx. 16 learning hours

Course Certificate: If you would like to receive a certificate from the training, you must pass the final test. Please take the final test for either Contribution Analysis or Efficiency Analysis. Please complete one of the tests if you want to receive a certificate. The certificate will be available for downloading after you have successfully completed the test.
