About this course

In this 120-minute self-paced course, System Architects and IT Developers will delve into the transformative power of the Whole of Government Approach and the Building Block approach, two pivotal strategies in modern governance. Our journey will take us through the intricate layers of how governments can integrate and streamline their services for greater efficiency, transparency, and citizen satisfaction.

What will you learn?

At the end of this module, you will be able to:

  1. understand the role of GovStack in advancing public service digitization globally, including its mission, vision, and brand as an advisory entity, the rationale behind its existence, and the challenges it addresses in the digital transformation of public services across different nations,
  2. gain comprehensive insights into the digital transformation of government services, focusing on how GovStack acts as a pivotal enabler through its Whole-of-Government approach. Participants will explore the strategic crafting of e-government services using generic building blocks, including the essential Identity Building Block, the overarching framework of GovStack Building Blocks, and the concept of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). Additionally, learners will understand the benefits of adopting GovStack’s Whole-of-Government approach to enhance the efficacy and inclusivity of digital services,
  3. understand the GovStack components including GovSpecs, GovTest, GovLearn, and GovExchange. Additionally, you will be able to describe the functionalities and purposes of these components, and how they interconnect to support the development, testing, learning, and exchange of digital government solutions,
  4. identify and analyze exemplary digital government services that have been developed using GovStack's reusable software components and building blocks (BBs). They will gain insights into the process and benefits of GovStack country engagement, understand the scope and structure of GovStack services and engagements, and explore various use cases where GovStack has been effectively applied to solve real-world challenges in public service digitization.

 


How much time do you need to invest? Completing the course and summative assessment part would take about approximately 120 minutes in total.
