About this course

In this 120-minute self-paced course, System Architects and IT Developers will learn about Working BB and its functions and terminology.

What will you learn?

At the end of this module, you will be able to:

  1. learn how the Working Building Block works in GovStack. You will learn how it helps to improve efficiency, automate business processes, and coordinate information flow among different services. You will also understand when to use a workflow engine and what to consider when implementing it in the GovStack ecosystem.
  2. master the essential functionalities of the Working Building Block in GovStack. You'll learn to create and execute workflow processes, monitor statuses, and enable programmatic process discovery. Additionally, you'll understand cross-cutting requirements such as data privacy, logging, source code availability, and performance/scalability standards crucial for effective implementation in distributed environments.
  3. understand the core data structures and models utilized by the Working Building Block. Recognize the purpose and significance of each data element within the context of workflow execution and management.
  4. learn why Service APIs are crucial for the Working Building Block. You will also learn about the key APIs that enable communication with other Building Blocks and external systems. Moreover, you will see how the Block works by examining some internal workflows that show how it handles API requests and performs processes efficiently.
  5. examine some use cases of workflow building blocks and learn how to use working building blocks in different scenarios with examples.

 

How much time do you need to invest? Completing the course and summative assessment part would take about approximately 120 minutes in total.
