This 1,5 hrs self-paced course provides an introduction to the topic of sustainability certification for hydrogen and Power-to-X (PtX) value chains. The course starts by differentiating between certification of industry/technical aspects vs. sustainability aspects. Learners understand the different levels of sustainability certification, e.g. of PtX products, a supply chain or of industrial plants. Also, the distinction between certification as a legal requirement vs. voluntary certification is discussed. The training dives deeper into the EU certification set-up but also provides an overview of global developments. Concrete examples are presented on how a certification process works in practice.
