This 2,5 hrs self-paced training provides in-depth knowledge on sustainability considerations for Power-to-X (PtX) technologies. Learners will understand the challenge of climate change and how the concept of Power-to-X can support to face this challenge. The role of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is presented as a global reference. The course presents the EESG Framework for PtX.Sustainability developped by the Internatioanl PtX Hub. It proposes the assessments of sustainability criteria on different levels, such as the production process, project planning and policies on country level. Along with 4 EESG dimensions and 16 therein thematic clusters, learners get to know a systematic approach to the topic of Sustainability for PtX technology. Finally, the learners receive information on monitoring and due diligence processes to successfully implement PtX.Sustainability. The content is embedded in first hand country perspectives from Colombia, Namibia and Jordan and stimulates the reflection to apply EESG criteria in future projects.
