PtX.Sustainability & EESG Framework

This 2,5 hrs self-paced training provides in-depth knowledge on sustainability considerations for Power-to-X (PtX) technologies. Learners will understand the challenge of climate change and how the concept of Power-to-X can support to face this challenge. The role of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is presented as a global reference. The course presents the EESG Framework for PtX.Sustainability developped by the Internatioanl PtX Hub. It proposes the assessments of sustainability criteria on different levels, such as the production process, project planning and policies on country level. Along with 4 EESG dimensions and 16 therein thematic clusters, learners get to know a systematic approach to the topic of  Sustainability for PtX technology. Finally, the learners receive information on monitoring and due diligence processes to successfully implement PtX.Sustainability. The content is embedded in first hand country perspectives from Colombia, Namibia and Jordan and stimulates the reflection to apply EESG criteria in future projects.

Professionals working in renewable energy (RE) and / or PtX topics, such as: 

• Decision makers in ministries or experts of national RE or PtX commissions
• Experts of public and private partner research institutes, energy federations and RE agencies
• Experts of regulatory authorities and other relevant administrations
• Journalists and actors of civil society

• International perspectives on opportunities and challenges for sustainable PtX

How much time will you need? 

Completing the course completing all the learning units and quizes will take you ca. 2,5 hours.

Certificate: A certificate will be issued at the end of the course. All learning units and quizes need to be passed (90%).
