About this course

In this self-paced course, you will learn about the career of a Software Developer as well as the foundations of computational thinking, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence given their importance for this role. If you are looking for career guidance, you have come to the right place.

 

Who is this course for? This course is for everyone interested in learning more about a career in Tech and is interested in STEM (= Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)

 

What will you learn? By the end of this course, you will understand basic STEM knowledge linked to the profession of the Software Developer and know what a Software Developer does and what it takes to become one.

 

You will be able to:

  • Describe the career of a software developer and other related occupations in the tech sector 
  • Discuss the necessary skills, job benefits, and career opportunities associated with the tech industry 
  • Outline the use of algorithms, algorithmic thinking, and programming languages in software development 
  • Argue the potential and challenges of big data and artificial intelligence in the tech industry. 

How much time do you need to invest? It will take you around 90 minutes to complete the whole course.
