About this course

In this self-paced course, you will learn about model procedures for land allocation for responsible agricultural investments in Ethiopia. It will take you about 4-5 hours to complete this course and you will earn a PDF certificate once you complete all modules.

The main purpose of this course is to enable experts, officials, and other stakeholders and interested learners to understand the principles of Large Scale Agricultural Investments (LSAI) and ensure that the implementation of LSAI improves the livelihood situation and food security of the local community and safeguards natural resources.

Who is this course for?
This course is especially designed for new employees and experts in the field of LSAI to get a comprehensive overview. In addition, it is also recommended for all staff members in order to get a common understanding and to increase their awareness and refresh their knowledge!

What will you learn?
By the end of this course,
  • you will understand the principles of LSAI,
  • you will understand the general context of large-scale land acquisition for agricultural investment at federal and regional states level in Ethiopia,
  • you will be familiar with legal and policy frameworks enacted to support the implementation of agricultural investment,
  • you will grasp the process, procedures, and requirements for land transfer to LSAI through lease agreements in the country.
