Welcome to the introductory course on Climate change and Carbon Markets. Abhay, a Vice President at a green start-up and Srishti, carbon markets expert, will take you through the basic concepts of climate science and climate policy. They will also briefly introduce carbon markets and touch upon how start-ups and micro, small, medium enterprises (MSMEs) can benefit from participating in the Voluntary Carbon Market.
In this self-paced course, entrepreneurs will learn about voluntary carbon markets. It will take you about 1.5 hours to complete the basic course and you will earn a PDF certificate of participation once you complete all modules and an assessment with 80% score.
The course has been developed by the Indian chapter of the Global Carbon Markets project, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
Who is this course for? This e-learning course is targeted at enterprises (start-ups, MSMEs, etc) that are interested in carbon markets and want to understand the potential benefits of their emission reduction activities.
