About this course

This course covers some of the different agendas of AI development, focusing on the importance of discussing fundamental issues for AI development such as infrastructure and connectivity. From housing to health, from maps to education, the challenges of implementing an AI agenda is not free of local and global events. How can we compare advances of AI governmental plans in different parts of the globe? What lessons the Global South brings to the Global North debate, and vice-versa?

Who is this course for?

This self paced course is aimed at learners who have an interest in AI and its global impact, with specific reference to the disparities which exist between the Global North and Global South.

What will you learn?

By the end of this course you will have an understanding of some of the fundamental issues that are present in AI development, especially from the Global South perspective.

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for entry to this online course
