About this course

When last did you use the internet? Chance are that it was today. Digital technology is the steam engine of information societies and significant power lies with those in charge of storing and distributing knowledge and information. In this course we are going to examine knowledge production online. We will explore what knowledge production is, what open educational resources (OER) and open licensing means, and the implications of copyright to knowledge production processes.

Who is this course for? 

Anyone who would like to gain insights into knowledge production in the digital space.


What will you learn? 

By the end of this course, you will understand the complexities surrounding knowledge production and the information society. You will also understand what open educational resources, copyright, and fair use are. Lastly, you will be able to identify and use Creative Commons licences.
