Human Rights in Tourism

Welcome to "Human Rights in
Tourism," a comprehensive training program made for direct (first-tier)
suppliers in the tourism industry. This course includes 4 basic modules
and 1 advanced module, and it will help you understand important
regulations on human rights due diligence like the German Supply Chain
Act (LkSG) and the European Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence
Directive (CSDDD). These laws are important if you work with European
partners.

Whether you’re a tour guide,
driver, front-line staff or manager, this course will give you practical
advice and real-world examples relevant to your job and specific role
within the tourism industry. By the end of the course, you'll know how
to spot and handle human rights issues, incorporate responsible
practices into your daily work and work well with business partners and
communities.

As mentioned, this course consists of four basic modules and one advanced module. You will receive a certificate for the basic course if you complete modules 1 to 4 successfully. You will also receive an additional certificate for the advanced module (module 5) if you complete it successfully.

course is designed for first-tier tourism suppliers working with German
and European tour operators, including employees in accommodation,
transportation, destination management, activity provision, and tour
guiding. It is particularly relevant for those seeking to deepen their
understanding of human rights regulations and their responsibilities
within the tourism sector.

How much time do you need to invest? The course is self-paced and takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours to complete across four main modules.

Course Certificate: If
you complete a module and pass 65% of the assessment questions you will
automatically receive a digital certificate – an “open badge” (To learn

If you have completed all four basic modules and passed all final
knowledges test a certificate will be automatically generated. If you
also complete and pass the advanced course, module 5, you will also
receive an open badge as well as a certificate of completion.
